The Ogun State Governor, Senator Ibikunle Amosun has enlightened and sensitised the people of the State on how to effectively cast their votes in the forthcoming general elections.
Governor Amosun who educated electorate at Ago-Oko Ward in Abeokuta North Local Government Area of the State while campaigning, called on the people to vote for him and other candidates of their choice.
According to him, “immediately you are accredited, you will cast your vote and after you have voted, wait till it is counted and announced. Do not sell your vote to any politician”.
While sensitising the people on how to avoid void votes, Amosun said, “Vote with your index finger, stay with your votes and do not allow anybody to snatch your ballot box”, calling on all the people of the state to make sure they get their Permanent Voter Card (PVC), which would enable them exercise their franchise.
Reacting to the rumour on stealing and buying of PVCs, the Governor said, “the way it is, nobody will be able to rig this election because technology will play its part effectively and the electorate themselves are totally ready to vote and stay with their votes until it is counted and published”.
