Amosun Receives 2 Athletes
Ogun State Governor Senator Ibikunle Amosun has dazzled the two athletes who made the state proud in badminton and karate at two major competitions with sporting kits and cash to encourage development of sports in the state.
The announcement was made while receiving Miss Dorcas Adesokan the current number one female badminton player in Africa and Mrs. Bolanle Dauda who is a gold and silver medalist at the 2018 and 2019 African Sports Festival. A time to reap the benefits of the investment of the administration state in the athletes as the Ogun state executive council received the current number one female badminton player in Africa Miss Dorcas Adesokan who was discovered while hawking wares at the premises of the state council and a gold medalist at the 2018/2019 National Sports festival Mrs. Bolanle Dauda.
Ogun State Governor Senator Ibikunle Amosun praised them for doing the state proud with a promise to continue to give them all the necessary things needed to achieve success in future competitions.
Governor Amosun then announced the cash reward and sporting kits for the champions.The athletes thanked the state governor for the honour and promised to continue to put in their best to win more laurels for the state.
Vice chairman of Ogun state badminton association Mrs Ikepo Adebayo and the director of sports, Ogun state sports council praised the government for huge investment which resulted in the success being celebrated.They promised to work hard to develop more talents to represent the state in future tournaments.
