Amosun Felicitates With Awujale On His 85th Birthday.

Ogun State Governor, Senator Ibikunle Amosun has described the Awujale and Paramount Ruler of Ijebuland, Oba (Dr.) Sikiru Adetona, as a man of many parts, whose life and legacy will transcend many Generations.

The Governor said this during the 3rd Annual Professorial chair

Lecture, organized by Olabisi Onabanjo University, commemorating the 85th Birthday for the Awujale, at Adeola Odutola Hall, Ijebu-Ode.

Represented by his Deputy, Chief (Mrs.) Yetunde Onanuga, the Governor said, ‘’we are here to celebrate a foremost Traditional Ruler in Yorubaland with a legendary status on his 85th Birthday. We are grateful to Almighty God for sparing the life of Kabiyesi, for him to continue to contribute his quota and make available his wealth of experience and resources towards the process of nation building.

‘’Kabiyesi Long may you reign in good health to continue to contribute to the socio-economic and political development of, not only Ogun State but the entire country, Nigeria”.

Responding, the Awujale, Oba Sikiru Adetona thanked God Almighty for sparing his life till date, while appreciating Governor Amosun for his kindness to him, he also expressed gratitude to the people of Ijebuland for their love and support.

“God Almighty has been wonderful to me in all Aspect of life; I can only give glory to God for making me to see today. I want to specifically thank the Ogun State Governor, Senator Ibikunle Amosun, for his kindness and I will not forget the support I received from my people, I pray that God Almighty shall also reward you all’’, Kabiyesi stated

Earlier in his welcome Address, Chairman, board of trustees for the 3rd Awujale Annual Professorial chair lecture, Mr. Olatunji Ayanlaja (SAN), noted that, Oba Adetona was regarded as a respectful Monarch across the State, saying this feat was as a result of his tremendous contribution to the socio-economic development to the State.
