Amosun Commissions Ultra Modern Livestock Stalls in Ogun

  

Governor Ibikunle Amosun of Ogun State has commissioned ultra modern stalls to provide a more conducive environment for Livestock Sellers in the State.

Amosun during the commissioning and handing over of the stalls to “Egbe Eleran Iso”, at Itoko market, Abeokuta, noted that, there was need for government to ensure a conducive atmosphere for the elderly women selling in the market, saying, “our mother’s must not be selling in the sun, but in a more comfortable environment”.

The Governor, who disclosed that the market would spur development, pledged his government’s continued support for the traders, with a promise to replicate such in other markets across the state.

“We’ve modernized and upgraded the market with water, toilets and stores for your comfort and that of your goats, rams and sheep”, Governor Amosun said, challenging the traders on proper maintenance of the market.

The Governor said the shops would be subsidised for the traders, to allow them make profit, adding that, in continuation of his rebuilding mission, he would ensure improvement in all sectors of the State economy.

Speaking earlier, the General Manager, Ogun State Housing Corporation and Special Adviser on Housing, Mrs. Jumoke Akinwunmi enjoined traders to take full ownership of the project and inculcate maintenance culture to attract buyers.

The head of the “Egbe Eleran Iso”, Alhaja Rehanat Okunola, appreciated government’s gesture, promising that the traders would continue to support the State government in its efforts to move the State to the next level.
