Akinlade Drums Up Support For #EndSARS Protest, Decry Police Brutality

A former member of the House of Representatives and agro-entrepreneur, Hon. Abdulkabir Adekunle Akinlade has thrown his weight behind the teeming Nigerian youths calling for an end to police brutality in the country.

Akinlae, in a statement signed by his media aide, Azeez Adelani Alao, a copy of which was made available over the weekend, posited that Nigerian youths are by happenings in recent times justified to embark on peaceful protests such the ones presently going on across some states in the country against some members of the disbanded Special SARS who have little or no regards for human lives and civil rights.

He noted that youths are now awakened to their responsibilities by demanding improvement in the socio-economic and political situation of Nigeria.

“This is scary and at the same time impressive, because Nigerian youths are beginning to take a vantage position as far as their lives and that of the country are concerned.

“I pray that those in charge see the danger of this prolonged and coordinated protests across the country, the Arab Spring on my mind,” Akinlade said.
