A number of residents of the centers of Sherbin, Dikernes, and Bani Ubaid in Dakahlia Governorate sent a call to the National Elections Authority to quickly consider the appeal submitted by Major General Muhammad Osama Abu Al-Majd, Candidate No. (9), symbol “stop,” after he was excluded from the race for the House of Representatives elections.

The people emphasized in their appeal that Major General Muhammad Osama Abu Al-Majd is considered one of the well-known national figures in the governorate, as he served as a member of the House of Representatives for two previous terms in 2010 and 2015, and he is also one of the former leaders of the Al-Saiqa Brigades who loyally served the nation.
The people indicated that his exclusion from the electoral race was based on appeals that they described as “malicious and unjustified,” stressing their confidence in the integrity of the electoral process and the political leadership’s keenness to ensure equal opportunities among all candidates.
The citizens called on the concerned authorities to quickly decide on the appeal submitted by the excluded candidate, in order to achieve the principle of justice and equality among all the people of the country, stressing their full support for the state’s path to consolidating democracy and respecting the will of the voters.
