Mai Al-Sabigh, media officer at the International Federation of the Red Cross and Red Crescent, said that there are clear procedures that specify the materials allowed to be brought into the Gaza Strip within humanitarian aid convoys, but the objection that faced the first aid truck caused major losses to the Egyptian Red Crescent, as a result of the convoy stopping for long periods and exceeding inspection dates, which led to damage to some of the contents.

She indicated during a television intervention that operating aid trucks in such complex circumstances is a major challenge in itself, as it requires careful coordination and intense field efforts, and that the Egyptian Red Crescent bears huge burdens on the ground to ensure the arrival of aid, despite the delays and logistical problems it is exposed to.
She also pointed out that the widespread destruction in the Gaza Strip, especially in the roads and infrastructure in the north and south, is one of the most prominent challenges facing relief teams, as the scattered rubble and destroyed roads hinder the movement of trucks and increase the difficulty of delivering aid to the affected areas, stressing that the humanitarian situation in Gaza requires urgent international cooperation and actual facilities on the ground.
