The Sidi Gaber Misdemeanor Court of Appeal in Alexandria decided today, Saturday, to reserve the case of the death of Youssef, a karate player, during a tournament in Alexandria, for a hearing next Saturday, October 25, for ruling.

The events of the case registered as No. 6541 of 2025 misdemeanors from the Sidi Gaber Police Department, when the defendants caused negligence and failure to observe the laws and regulations, which caused an error that led to the death of the victim, “Youssef.”
Earlier, Youssef’s father explained that the details of the incident were due to his son’s participation in the Republic Karate Championship under the age of 17, pointing out that he was injured during the match and was supposed to be resuscitated in order to save him.
Today, Saturday, the Sidi Gaber Misdemeanor Court in Alexandria, headed by Counselor Abdel-Hasib Hamdy Abdel-Hasib, President of the Court, and Counselors Marwan Hisham Gamal and Ahmed Mahfouz Raslan, agents of the Public Prosecutor, ruled 3 years in prison and a bail of 10,000 pounds to temporarily suspend the execution. It obligated them to pay criminal costs and obliged the defendants to pay the civil plaintiff an amount of 100,000 pounds and one pound as temporary civil compensation, and obligated them to pay expenses.
