In a remarkable humanitarian gesture that embodies the meanings of social solidarity, a number of citizens in the Hail region joined forces to pay off the debts of a Sudanese resident amounting to 300,000 riyals, in a position that reflects the authenticity of Saudi society and its keenness to extend a helping hand to those in need.
According to Al Arabiya, the Sudanese resident is called Youssef Al-Mahi, and has lived in the Kingdom since the Gulf War, and has accumulated financial obligations over the past years that have prevented him from being able to pay.
Al-Mahi explained in his speech that he had a large financial obligation, so he contacted some charitable people in Hail, who took the initiative to coordinate among themselves to pay the amount on his behalf, stressing that what happened embodies the chivalry and generosity of the Saudis.
For his part, citizen Ahmed Al-Mukhaidish, one of the participants in the initiative, said:
“A relative called me and told me about a Sudanese resident who had a financial obligation worth 300,000 riyals, so I moved to Hail and sent the bill to a group of young donors, and within a short period we were able to pay the full amount.”
This humanitarian initiative received wide praise on social media, where many commentators expressed their pride in the noble stances of the Saudis, which confirm the spirit of altruism and solidarity that characterizes Saudi society.
