Dr. Mohammed bin Mubarak bin Dinah, Minister of Oil and Environment, Special Envoy for Climate Affairs, received Dr. Rashid Mohammed Al Marri, Head of the Gulf Cooperation Council Center for Emergency Management, within the framework of continuing to enhance cooperation and joint coordination between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the Gulf Cooperation Council countries in the fields of disaster and emergency management and environmental protection.
During the meeting, the Minister of Oil and Environment praised the prominent role played by the Gulf Cooperation Council Center in supporting the efforts of the Council countries to deal with environmental and natural challenges, and strengthening national capabilities in the areas of rapid response and crisis management, stressing the Kingdom of Bahrain’s keenness to continue cooperation and exchange experiences with the Center, in a way that enhances the security and safety system at the regional level.
For his part, Dr. Rashid Mohammed Al Marri expressed his thanks and appreciation to the Minister of Oil and Environment for the warm reception, praising the role of the Kingdom of Bahrain in supporting and enhancing joint Gulf action initiatives in the field of environmental emergency management, stressing the Center’s keenness to continue cooperation and coordination in the Kingdom in order to enhance preparedness and effective response.
