Massad Boulos, advisor to US President Donald Trump, said that there are positive indicators regarding the Ethiopian Renaissance Dam file during the coming period, noting that he visited Ethiopia a few weeks ago and noticed a real openness to end the crisis.
Boulos added, in television statements to Al Arabiya channel, that the solution to the crisis would be purely technical and peaceful, not political, explaining that there are ongoing efforts to bring views closer between Cairo and Addis Ababa.

Trump’s advisor expected that the coming period would witness a meeting between President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi and Ethiopian Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed, to discuss ways to reach an agreement that guarantees the rights of the two downstream countries and preserves the interests of all parties.
Earlier, Dr. Mustafa reassured Madbouly The Prime Minister told citizens about the Renaissance Dam, saying: We must reassure you that we are managing the Renaissance Dam file wisely, continuing: It does not mean that we are patient and keen to negotiate with Ethiopia means our weakness, but we are fully aware of the challenges and we have overcome the process of filling the dam and Egypt has not been affected by the filling process and we must reach a binding agreement to manage the water.
Madbouly said, during a press conference today, that the whole world was full of support for Egypt’s position that it began in the Gaza war, and there is a global opinion in support of Palestine in their right to establish their state.
He continued: Egypt’s position was clear in rejecting any attempts to displace the Palestinians, and we must salute President Sisi because his position and opinion were clear since the beginning of the war, continuing: Egypt has always been a pioneer in peace, and we all hope that after the ceasefire is established, we will begin the next steps.
