Next Sunday morning, the Shura Council will hold its second session of the fourth session of the sixth legislative term, headed by the Speaker of the Council, Ali Al-Saleh. The agenda includes incoming correspondence, the formation of committees, and the elections of the Council’s representatives in the parliamentary division.
In the incoming correspondence section, the Council will discuss the letters of Deputy Prime Minister Sheikh Khalid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, to which are attached a number of decree laws issued in accordance with Article (38) of the Constitution to notify the Council, including: Decree Law No. (30) of 2025 amending some provisions of the Traffic Law, Decree Law No. (31) of 2025 amending some provisions of the Penal Code, and Decree Law No. (32) of 2025 amending the law. Criminal Procedures, Decree-Law No. (33) of 2025 approving the concession agreement regarding the Juba and Pre-Taweel reservoirs in the Bahrain field, Decree-Law No. (34) of 2025 amending some provisions of the Law for the Care, Rehabilitation and Employment of People with Disabilities, Decree-Law No. (35) of 2025 approving the unified system for international land transport between the countries of the Gulf Cooperation Council, and Decree-Law No. (36) of the year 2025 regarding combating money laundering and terrorist financing, in addition to Decree Law No. (37) of 2025 amending the Central Bank of Bahrain and Financial Institutions Law.
The Council is also notified of Decree Law No. (38) of 2025 amending some provisions of the Commercial Companies Law, Decree Law No. (39) of 2025 regulating the raising of funds for public purposes, and Decree Law No. (40) of 2025 amending the Professional Sports Law.
During the session, the Council forms a committee to prepare the draft response to the Royal High Speech, in addition to forming permanent specific committees in accordance with what the Council Office concluded after coordination between the requests of Their Excellencies the members.
The Council will also elect four members to represent it in the Executive Committee of the Parliamentary Division, while the Council will be notified of the results of the elections for the heads of the permanent specific committees and their deputies that were held recently.
