South Sinai Governorate witnessed a qualitative shift in the services provided to the hearing impaired, through the “We Care for You, You Hear” campaign, which is implemented by the Health Care Authority, South Sinai Branch.
This comes within the framework of the efforts of the General Health Care Authority to improve medical services, under the umbrella of comprehensive health insurance, and within the activities of the “We Care for You, You Hear” campaign, which was launched from July until the end of October 2025.
Zero waiting lists for hearing patients in South Sinai
The South Sinai branch achieved a distinguished achievement by reaching “zero waiting lists” for hearing impaired beneficiaries, after providing and delivering 89 hearing aids. It also included the provision of hearing aids, each of which is worth about 99 thousand pounds, in addition to spare parts for cochlear implants, which the beneficiary receives for free under the umbrella of the system.
Total percentage of children benefiting 24%
The campaign also focused on children, accounting for 24% of the total beneficiaries, as the headphones were delivered and programmed before the start of the school year.
The campaign was successfully implemented thanks to the integrated coordination between the audiology, user satisfaction, secondary care and supply teams, which reflects the Authority’s commitment to providing integrated health services that ensure a better life for all beneficiaries.
The campaign was supervised by Dr. Asma Sayed Zaki, the campaign official headed by the authority, Dr. Ayman Rakha, head of the Canal Region and branch director, and the efforts of the central coordination work team from the branch (therapeutic management and follow-up), with the knowledge of Dr. Hani Al-Azaby, director of the secondary care department, RECALL, communication and list filtering, Dr. Basant Al-Dali, director of the beneficiary satisfaction department, and Dr. Mohamed Ahmed Fawzi, member of the beneficiary satisfaction department, Al-Imdad. Hearing aids were dispensed, Dr. Mira Fayez, Sharm El-Sheikh Hospital, Dr. Fatima Sami, Al-Fayrouz Complex, and the team of doctors, Dr. Ahmed Taha, and Dr. Heba Ahmed Abdel Aziz.
