In line with the directives of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, may God protect him, to launch “Tree Week” this year, Mr. Yousef Saleh Al-Saleh, President of the Jaafari Endowments, stressed the importance of supporting national efforts to enhance environmental sustainability and increase the green area, which contributes to achieving national aspirations and reaching carbon neutrality by 2060.

This came during his participation in planting a number of trees, in Sheikh Mansour Mosque in the Jidd al-Hajj area, as part of the “Tree Week” activities, in the presence of Mr. Abdul Jalil Ali Al-Haiki, Director General of the Jaafari Endowments, and a number of council members.

Al-Saleh pointed out the keenness of the Jaafari Endowments to contribute effectively to the development of the agricultural sector, and to encourage those in charge of places of worship to intensify afforestation efforts and support green initiatives, based on the principles of the true religion that urges us to pay attention to agriculture, stressing that the Endowments will continue to support national afforestation plans, which aim to plant 3.6 million trees by the year 2035.
