In line with the directives of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, may God protect him, and in confirmation of the Authority’s commitment to environmental sustainability, the Information and eGovernment Authority participated in the celebration of Tree Week at its headquarters in Isa Town, where Mr. Mohammed Al Qaed, CEO of the Authority, along with the Vice Presidents and a number of directors, kindly planted a group of trees at the Authority’s headquarters.
On this occasion, Mr. Mohammed Al-Qaed Al-Qaed praised His Royal Highness the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, may God protect him, for launching the “Tree Week” initiative for this year, stressing that the initiative reflects the government’s keenness to spread the culture of sustainability among institutions and society, noting His Highness’s directive to hold an innovation competition in irrigation solutions, aimed at promoting the use of sustainable technologies in preserving water resources, noting the Authority’s keenness to implement initiatives aimed at To develop an environmentally friendly work environment and support green national projects.
It is worth noting that this initiative comes within the framework of the Authority’s keenness to promote a culture of environmental responsibility among employees and society, in line with the National Afforestation Plan, which aims to double the number of trees to 3.6 million trees by 2035.
