The UAE, through the Emirates International Aid Agency, provided urgent relief assistance to approximately 40,000 families affected by the earthquake that struck the island of Cebu in the center of the friendly Republic of the Philippines, under the supervision of the UAE Embassy in Manila, in cooperation with the relevant local authorities and authorities, and in support of the national efforts made by the Philippine government to confront the effects of the disaster. This response comes from the UAE’s humanitarian mission, and an embodiment of its international responsibility towards peoples and communities exposed to natural disasters and crises, and its keenness to alleviate the suffering of those affected, accelerate early recovery efforts, and enhance stability.
