Cairo 24 monitors pictures of the effects of a fire that occurred in the Abu Gheit area of the Qanater Charitable Center in Qalyubia Governorate, today, Wednesday, and a state of temporary panic spread among the people, after a fire broke out in a bus that was parked next to a house, without causing any human losses.
Major General Ashraf Gaballah, Director of Qalyubia Security, received a notification from Major General Haitham Shehata, Director of the Civil Protection Department in Qalyubia, stating that a report had been received by the Rescue Operations Room about a fire in a bus in the Abu Gheit area – behind the Toshiba Showroom – Al-Qanater Al-Khairiya Center.
Civil protection forces, led by the firefighting team, moved to the fire site, and an equipped fire truck and additional water tanks were dispatched. The forces were able to completely contain and extinguish the flames within record time, and prevent them from spreading to neighboring homes and shops.
Initial investigations and inspection by security forces indicated that the fire broke out as a result of a sudden electrical short circuit inside the bus during its stop, and did not result in any injuries or deaths, while the damage was limited to damage to the bus’s external structure and some internal parts.
The investigation authorities that moved to the scene of the incident were also notified and assigned the forensic laboratory to conduct the necessary technical examination to determine the exact causes behind the fire, and requested investigations into the incident and its circumstances and circumstances.
