The management of the Cairo International Film Festival said that due to the acceleration of regional and international events, and the press conference for the forty-sixth session of the festival, which was held on October 12, coincided with the Sharm El-Sheikh Peace Summit led by President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi with the participation of a large number of world leaders, the festival management saw that the previous poster was no longer appropriate to the spirit of the stage.

Based on the role of the cultural and humanitarian festival as a platform that expresses cinema as the conscience of the world, the administration decided to issue a new official poster that reflects the values of peace, light, and hope in the face of war and destruction.

The festival administration said in a statement: In the depth of the picture, there is a bright port of light that opens the way for a white dove flying towards the horizon, a direct sign of peace, hope and liberation, and cinemas as a path to freedom and human advancement, and shades of gold and bronze flood the scene, in gradations of light creeping from the depth of the picture towards the horizon, as if a new sunrise emerges from among the shadows.

The statement added: While the olive branches grow on the edges of the frame to restore the cycle of life, and the scene is surrounded by two cinematic tapes that transform the story into a memory that can be shared on the screen, a tribute to the art that rises from the rubble, and a voice for the human being who does not die in the memory of cinema, so the elements combine into a single meaning that directs the eye from the ruins to the open space and from pain to hope.
