The friendly Embassy of the Republic of Korea to the Kingdom of Bahrain celebrated Korean National Day, in the presence of Abdullah bin Adel Fakhro, Minister of Industry and Trade, a number of members of the Shura and Representatives Councils, Ambassador Talal Abdul Salam Al Ansari, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for Consular and Administrative Affairs, and a number of officials, members of the diplomatic corps, businessmen, and representatives of the Korean community in the Kingdom.
Haimi Kim, Acting Chargé d’Affairs at the Embassy of the Republic of Korea, delivered a speech on this occasion, in which she expressed her pride in the strength of bilateral relations between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the Republic of Korea, praising the solid friendship and close partnership that unites the two countries, covering various fields.
She stressed that Bahraini-Korean relations have witnessed continuous development, thanks to fruitful cooperation and high-level mutual visits between the two sides, noting that the existing partnership between the two friendly countries, which started in the fields of energy and infrastructure, and expanded to include several vital sectors, including information technology and health care, with an aspiration to develop cooperation to include renewable energy, environmental technologies, smart agriculture, and artificial intelligence, Financial technology and other future fields.
She also noted the investment promotion and protection agreement between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the Republic of Korea, which entered into force late last July, stressing that the agreement represents an important step to enhance trade and investment movement between the two friendly countries.
