
His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, King of the country and Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, received today at Sakhir Palace, Rear Admiral Kurt Renshaw, Commander of the Naval Forces of the US Central Command, Commander of the Fifth Fleet, to greet His Majesty on the occasion of his appointment.
His Majesty the King welcomed Lieutenant General Kurt Renshaw and congratulated him on assuming his new position, wishing him success in his new military duties to support Bahraini-American cooperation and achieve everything that serves security and peace issues in the region.
His Majesty praised the depth of the strong strategic relations and the close historical partnership that brings together the two friendly countries as allies and partners, and the continuous development witnessed in bilateral cooperation, especially in the military and defense fields.
He stressed that Bahraini-American relations have been built for decades on trust, respect, and keenness to achieve all goals and aspirations.
His Majesty the King praised the pivotal role played by the American administration in ensuring the security and stability of the region and promoting international peace.
During the meeting, His Majesty the King also praised the role of His Excellency President Donald Trump, President of the friendly United States of America, in the success of the Sharm El-Sheikh Peace Summit, and his tireless efforts to reach an agreement to end the war in Gaza, and to advance efforts to bring peace to the Middle East region.
For his part, the Commander of the Naval Forces of the US Central Command, Commander of the Fifth Fleet, expressed his deep pride and appreciation for the efforts of His Majesty the King in consolidating strategic relations and supporting strong bilateral cooperation with his country in all fields.
