The International Committee of the Red Cross said that the process of finding the bodies of dead Israeli detainees constitutes an enormous challenge that may take days or weeks, noting that the stage for returning them is one of the most complex stages, given the difficulty of reaching the remains buried under the rubble of destruction in Gaza.

The organization’s spokesman explained, according to Reuters, that this task is more complex compared to the process of releasing living detainees, stressing that it may continue for a long time, and some bodies may never be found.
At the same time, it is expected that Hamas will not release any of the dead detainees today, while Israel is preparing to transfer the bodies of Palestinians to the Gaza Strip, under the ceasefire agreement, which stipulates the delivery of 15 bodies for every dead detainee that Hamas releases.
Yedioth Ahronoth newspaper reported that the process of transporting the bodies will take place through the Red Cross, while no information has yet been received about Hamas’ intention to deliver new bodies other than the four who were returned yesterday.
