The Israeli army announced the death of Reserve Sergeant Shmuel Gad Rahamim (31 years old), succumbing to serious wounds he sustained when an Israeli bomb exploded at a military site in Khan Yunis in the southern Gaza Strip.
With his death, the number of Israeli deaths on all fronts since the beginning of the war on October 7, 2023 rose to 2,000, including 915 soldiers.
In the same accident, which occurred last Tuesday, two other reserve soldiers were seriously and moderately injured, and the army formed an investigation committee to determine the circumstances of the accident.
This comes at a time when it was announced that reserve sergeant, Michael Mordechai Nahmani (26 years old), was killed by gunfire from a Hamas sniper in the northern Gaza Strip.
The Israeli Ministry of Defense published data on the two-year anniversary of the war, showing that 1,152 people were killed in battles during the past two years, 42% of whom were under the age of 21, and more than 6,500 families joined the “bereaved families.”
