Dr. Amr Dowidar, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health in Sohag, held a meeting with Dr. Ihab Heikal, Director of Sohag General Hospital, in the presence of Dr. Ihab Youssef, Director of the Technical Office, to discuss performance indicators and ways to improve medical services provided to citizens.

The meeting dealt with following up on the implementation of the presidential initiative to eliminate waiting lists, where Dowidar stressed the necessity of increasing the rates of operations and intensifying the work of medical teams. He also discussed preparations for preparing the burns and plastic surgery unit for accreditation by the General Authority for Health Accreditation and Control.
The Undersecretary stressed his keenness to preserve the dignity of the medical team inside health facilities, pointing to the daily follow-up of workers’ affairs, with directives to intensify health awareness and education programs to ensure a positive relationship between service providers and recipients.
