The car of a number of participants in the Qatari delegation heading from Cairo to Sharm El-Sheikh was involved in a traffic accident, due to participation in the negotiations to stop the war in the Gaza Strip, resulting in the death of 3 members of the delegation, and the serious injury of 2 others.

Sources explained to Cairo 24 that the deceased in the accident were: Abdullah bin Ghanem Al-Khayarin, Hassan Al-Jaber, and Saud bin Thamer Al Thani, while Abdullah bin Issa Al-Kuwari and Muhammad Al-Buainain were transferred to the hospital to receive the necessary medical care, where they are currently lying in the intensive care department under the supervision of a specialized medical team.
He added that one of the injured Qataris suffered from multiple fractures in his legs, and was quickly transferred to the operating room for urgent surgical intervention, while the second Qatari diplomat and the Egyptian driver suffered various bruises and abrasions on the body, and are currently undergoing medical observation in the hospital.

In the same context, the investigating authorities opened an investigation into the traffic accident suffered by some participants in the Qatari delegation heading from Cairo to Sharm El-Sheikh against the backdrop of participation in the negotiations to stop the war in the Gaza Strip.
The accident occurred on the international road about 50 kilometers before the city of Sharm El-Sheikh in South Sinai Governorate, and resulted in the death of three members of the delegation and the injury of two others.
The inspection and inspection teams moved and continued their work to the site of the accident to determine the exact reasons behind its occurrence.
In the same context, a Foreign Ministry source explained to Cairo 24 that the other injured people were transferred to intensive care in a hospital in Sharm El-Sheikh to receive treatment.
The source offered sincere condolences to the State of Qatar, its leadership, government and people, in this painful tragedy, asking God for mercy for the victims and a speedy recovery for the injured.
