The investigating authorities have opened an expanded investigation into the traffic accident involving the diplomatic delegation accompanying the Prime Minister of the State of Qatar, which occurred on the international road about 50 kilometers before the city of Sharm El-Sheikh in South Sinai Governorate, and resulted in the death of three members of the delegation and the injury of two others.

Informed sources revealed to Cairo 24 that the victims of the accident were: Abdullah bin Ghanem Al-Khayareen, Hassan Al-Jaber, and Saud bin Thamer Al Thani, while Abdullah bin Issa Al-Kuwari and Muhammad Al-Buainain were transferred to the hospital to receive the necessary medical care, where they are currently lying in the intensive care department under the supervision of a specialized medical team.
The sources confirmed that the investigation authorities moved in the early hours of this morning to the hospital where the two injured people were receiving treatment, as part of the investigation procedures into the circumstances of the accident, noting that the examination and inspection teams are continuing their work at the accident site to determine the exact reasons behind its occurrence.
This comes at a time when no official statements have yet been issued by the Egyptian or Qatari sides regarding the details of the accident or the health condition of the injured members of the delegation.
