17,698 families benefited from double social security in Ramadan
187,935 families benefited from cash compensation to lift meat subsidies
14,865 people received the double disability allowance
The government confirmed that the objectives of the proposal, which are the desire to introduce a living improvement allowance for all workers in the private sector and private business owners whose monthly income does not exceed (1,500) dinars, and the proposal, which include a desire to increase the cost of living allowance and a one-time meat subsidy to contribute to alleviating the burdens of citizens in the holy month of Ramadan, have been achieved through the support programs it provides.
The government indicated that the beneficiaries of the financial support “high-cost allowance” amounted to 134,251 families, according to statistics from February 2025, and in the context of additional support for the most needy groups, and in implementation of the directives of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, double amounts were disbursed to eligible families during the holy month of Ramadan for this year, as 17,698 families benefited from the doubled social security amount, while what happened 14,865 people received the double disability allowance, and cash compensation was disbursed to lift subsidies on meat for the benefit of 187,935 families, according to February 2025 statistics, within the framework of the government’s policy aimed at providing direct support to those entitled to it with full transparency and efficiency.
