Imad Al-Nahhas began his coaching career in 2014, starting with Aswan Club in the Egyptian Second Division League, where he succeeded in leading the team to achieve a great achievement, which represented promotion to the Premier League after an 11-year absence, during the 2014-2015 season.
Despite this remarkable success, Al-Nahhas faced many challenges in his first experience in the Premier League, as his team suffered from competitive difficulties, which ultimately prompted him to submit his resignation in November 2016 after a series of unsuccessful results.
In 2017, Al-Nahhas went through a new experience with Raja Club, where he took over the technical leadership in September, but the experience did not last long after he was dismissed in December of the same year due to a decline in results, in a short stop, but it added to his training experience.
As for his most prominent stage, it came in October 2018 when he took over coaching the Arab Contractors, an experience that witnessed greater stability and success, as he was able to provide strong performances with the team for several seasons, placing his name among the most prominent coaches in the Egyptian League.
He also later took over coaching Al-Ittihad Alexandria, with whom he achieved a distinguished victory over Pyramids, which was his first victory as a coach against this team. He continued his career, moving between several clubs, such as Tala’i El Gaish and Al Tahadi Al Libya, before returning again to the Arab Contractors.
In a new step in his career, Imad Al-Nahhas was appointed interim technical director of Al-Ahly club following the departure of Marcel Kohler, where he continued the Swiss’s journey successfully and was able to lead the team to win the Premier League championship.
Imad Al-Nahhas led Al-Ahly in 5 matches, starting his second term with a draw with Enppi with a goal for each team, before achieving 4 consecutive victories: Ceramica Cleopatra 1-0, Haras El Hodoud 3-1, then Al-Qemma against Zamalek with a score of 2-1 and finally Kahraba Ismailia with a score of 4-2.
Imad Al-Nahhas succeeded in bringing Al-Ahly back to competing at the top of the Premier League standings, after the team reached point 18 in third place, equally with Al-Masry, the leader of the tournament, and Zamalek, the runner-up, with a match remaining in favor of the Red Giants.
