Matrouh detectives were able to arrest 3 women and two men, accused of stealing more than 2 million pounds and jewelry from the home of a famous merchant in Matrouh.
Jewelry and money were stolen from a merchant’s house
Investigations stated that the crime included setting fire to the house, breaking doors, destroying surveillance cameras, and burning internal contents for the purpose of concealing traces of the theft. However, the alertness of the detectives and their uncovering of the plan of the maid working inside the house, who was the mastermind of the crime, resulted in the discovery of the incident and the arrest of the accused.
The efforts of the Matrouh Security Directorate’s detectives, led by Major General Ahmed Al-Mujabr, Director of Criminal Investigations, Lieutenant Colonel Muhammad Jalal, Chief of Investigations, Lieutenant Colonel Abdel Moneim Khamis, Head of the Matrouh Police Department, and the investigation assistants and department officers Muhammad Al-Sirafi, Mahmoud Al-Ghazouli, Hussein Al-Sharif, Muhammad Al-Souliya, and Hossam Harb, contributed to the arrest of the accused and the recovery of the stolen items in record time, and the necessary legal measures are being taken against the accused.
