Yousef Abdullah Al-Hamoud, Undersecretary for Financial Affairs at the Ministry of Finance and National Economy, headed the delegation of the Kingdom of Bahrain participating in the work of the seventh meeting of the permanent preparatory committee at the ministerial level of the Economic and Development Affairs Authority of the Gulf Cooperation Council, which was held today in the sisterly State of Kuwait, with the participation of Their Excellencies the Ministers of Finance and Economy of the Gulf Cooperation Council countries, and His Excellency Mr. Jassim Mohammed Al Budawi, Secretary-General of the Gulf Cooperation Council.
During the meeting, a number of topics were reviewed on the agenda that come within the framework of supporting the process of joint Gulf economic action, and in a way that enhances sustainable development opportunities in the GCC countries, including the timetable for the roadmap for initiatives and projects to achieve economic unity, and free trade negotiations, in addition to following up on the implementation of the action plan and timetables for building the Gulf economic model, and studies and projects related to economic integration and development in the GCC countries.
The most prominent economic indicators and developments in the GCC countries were also reviewed, and the progress of work in the initiatives and programs implemented by the Office of the Economic and Development Affairs Authority.
