A source in Zamalek confirmed to Cairo 24 that there was an agreement to enter part of the dues today into the team’s players’ accounts, as happened last week, based on an action by John Edward, the team’s sports director.
The source continued his assertions that the players are waiting for the sums of money to arrive in their accounts according to the promise made between John Edward, the sports director, and some players on the team.
The source concluded his statements by emphasizing that the sports director is striving to end the financial dues crisis that the club is suffering from in the current period so that the players can focus on what is next in the team’s journey.
The team will resume training today in preparation for the CAF Confederation of Nations Round of 32 matches against the Somali team Dekedaha on the 18th and 24th of this month, with both matches being held in Cairo after the Somali club agreed to move the match.
The players received a four-day rest after the latter’s draw against Ghazl El Mahalla, as Zamalek’s matches during the current month will only be limited to the two African matches, but they will not participate in any league match, as the team is resting from the matches in round 11.
