The Labor Fund (Tamkeen) announced the launch of the “NextGen Council” initiative with the aim of enhancing the leadership skills of Bahraini youth working in the Labor Fund and developing a culture of innovation. This initiative is one of the fruits of the ongoing efforts to enhance communication among Tamkeen’s work team by providing the opportunity to adopt innovative ideas presented by the Fund’s members, which contributes to creating a more productive and interactive work environment.
The NextGen Council includes an elite group of young Tamkeen employees who are not more than 30 years old. The Council members will work on a number of initiatives that will enhance the spirit of innovation and creativity in the Fund’s work, including two main projects: sustainability and social responsibility, in addition to empowering them through training and participation in management meetings to exchange experiences and knowledge as they are representatives of the voice of youth.
The Council will also work to present practical proposals to enhance sustainability practices within Tamkeen, in addition to creating mechanisms that enhance the participation of Labor Fund employees in projects with a social impact that reflect the organization’s commitment to its social responsibility.
Commenting on this initiative, Ms. Iman Al Sharif, Chief Human Resources Officer at the Labor Fund “Tamkeen”, said: “The launch of this initiative at Tamkeen comes out of our firm belief in the young talents that the organization embraces and our awareness of the value of the qualitative insights offered by this group that contribute to enriching the decision-making process. This initiative reflects our aspirations to establish an institutional model based on forward-thinking.” And comprehensiveness by providing young employees with the opportunity to contribute to shaping strategic directions and building professional networks that play a role in exchanging knowledge and enhancing cooperation.”
She added: “The initiative aims to empower young employees and develop their leadership skills, which contributes to preparing a generation qualified to assume future responsibilities while being keen to renew ideas and enhance the spirit of innovation and creativity in our work, which is reflected in what we offer to Bahraini society and the labor market.”
This initiative comes in line with Tamkeen’s priorities in enhancing the leadership skills of its young employees, enabling them to contribute effectively, and contributing to the introduction of new ideas that drive innovation in the organization.
