Abu Dhabi/WAM A specialized medical team at Sheikh Khalifa Medical City, affiliated with SEHA, one of the PureHealth companies, the largest healthcare group in the Middle East, achieved a qualitative medical achievement in saving the life of an 11-year-old girl, after she was afflicted with a rare and dangerous infection in the bones of the skull and face that almost threatened her life. The medical team explained that the condition began as a simple sinusitis, before quickly developing into a severe inflammation of the forehead bones and swelling known medically as “Bot’s swollen tumor,” which led to the formation of an abscess inside the skull and the emergence of severe complications that required urgent and precise surgical intervention with a high level of specialization.
