Avkhai Adraee, the official spokesman for the Israeli army, commented on the agreement to stop the war in Gaza.
He said in a post on Facebook: The IDF welcomes reaching an agreement to return the kidnapped people, which was signed tonight.
He continued: During an assessment of the situation that took place tonight, the Chief of Staff instructed all forces on the front and in the rear to prepare with a strong defensive force and be prepared for every scenario.
He added: The deployment of forces will take place in accordance with the directives of the political level and the stages of the agreement, and it will be done responsibly and while preserving the security of our soldiers.
He explained: On the other hand, the Chief of Staff instructed us to prepare to lead the expected operation to return the kidnapped persons with sensitivity and professionalism.
He concluded: The IDF will continue to work to achieve the goals of the war and preserve the citizens of the State of Israel on all fronts.
