On Monday, October 7, Al Salam Specialized Hospital opened the “Ebsar” Eye Surgery Unit, in the presence of Dr. Jamal Saleh, Chairman of the Board of Directors, and with the participation of a number of prominent figures, including Widad Al-Bubshait, Member of the Board of Directors, Representative Iman Hassan Shuwaiter, Representative of the Capital Governorate – Tenth District, and Abdullah Ibrahim Abdul Latif, Chairman of the Municipal Council of the Southern Governorate, along with Ahmed Al-Sayed, CEO of the hospital, Dr. Muhammad Al-Suwaidi, Chief Physician, and Muhammad Al-Mahi Suleiman, Director. Operations.

Dr. Ammar Al Mahmoud, Head of the Ibsar Unit, confirmed during the opening speech that this unit represents a qualitative leap in private ophthalmology services in the Kingdom of Bahrain, as it represents a unique model through its integration of advanced medical and surgical capabilities in advanced ophthalmology and surgery, to serve eye patients of all ages, and the unlimited capabilities of Al Salam Specialized Hospital. He said: “We are keen for this unit to be an integrated medical reference that provides the best diagnostic and surgical solutions to patients, keeping pace with the latest global developments in the field of ophthalmology.”

The unit provides integrated services covering all age groups, from newborns to the elderly, and includes medical examinations and surgical interventions within the hospital, in addition to field treatment programs through “Ibsar” to reach patients in their homes. There is also continuous medical service around the clock through the emergency department.

The “Ibsar” unit relies on the latest diagnostic and surgical equipment that contributes to reducing the time of examinations and operations, and enables the diagnosis to be reached accurately and quickly, which is reflected in achieving the best results for patients.
