The Ministry of Housing and Urban Planning in the Sultanate of Oman organized the October Urban Exhibition under the slogan (Sustainable Cities for Humanity), which is considered one of the most prominent real estate events in the region with wide participation from companies and real estate developers from inside and outside the Sultanate.
This exhibition is a strategic platform that brought together the real estate, construction and urban design sectors under its umbrella, which provided an ideal opportunity for interaction between government agencies, investors, developers and consulting offices. The exhibition also highlighted the Sultanate of Oman’s serious approach towards promoting sustainable urban development and achieving the goals of the Oman Vision, which places people at the heart of the planning and development process.
Nasser Al-Ahli, Chairman of the Real Estate and Contracting Committee of the Bahraini Businessmen Association, who participated in the exhibition activities, confirmed that the exhibition was an exceptional event that embodies the spirit of partnership between the government and private sectors in the sisterly Sultanate of Oman, praising the precise organization and professional level of the event, which reflected the remarkable development in management and organization among young Omani cadres. He explained that the success of the exhibition reflects the extent of the Sultanate’s interest and commitment to developing the real estate sector according to modern foundations. Sustainable, supports economic diversification, and keeps pace with the requirements of sustainable development.
Al-Ahli explained that the exhibition witnessed a large turnout from visitors, whether citizens or residents, from inside and outside the Sultanate. This reflects the wide interest in the real estate and investment opportunities that the sisterly Sultanate of Oman abounds in various regions of the mountains and coasts with a picturesque and unique nature. A noticeable increase was also observed in the number and size of real estate projects offered, especially in the field of private housing and tourism investment projects. This confirms the depth of the partnership between the government sector and real estate developers.
Al-Ahly pointed out that the exhibition witnessed the signing of a number of agreements between investors and real estate developers, as the exhibition presented new and innovative models for smart urban planning and modern technologies in sustainable construction, reflecting the trend towards green, environmentally friendly cities.
Al-Ahly concluded his statement by offering thanks and appreciation to the Ministry of Housing and Urban Planning in the sisterly Authority of Oman for the success of the exhibition, the wonderful organization and the advanced level, stressing that the Sultanate of Oman has today become a role model in the field of sustainable urban development, as it balances originality and gives humans a pivotal position in the process of construction and urban planning.
