Ecuadorian President Daniel Noboa survived gunfire targeting his convoy, according to Environment Minister Ines Manzano on Tuesday, after hundreds of protesters against the rise in diesel fuel prices tried to attack the convoy.

According to the French news agency, Environment Minister Ines Manzano said: About 500 people appeared and started throwing stones at the president’s convoy, and there were bullet marks on the president’s car.
She added: Thank God, our president is very strong and brave and continues to move forward and pursue his agenda as usual.
