Al-Hussein University Hospital witnessed a painful humanitarian incident, after a doctor refused to treat a sick woman, which led to her health condition deteriorating and her entering a state of severe bleeding, according to her statements to Cairo 24.
According to what the patient, called Sabah, told Cairo 24, she was surprised by the decision to refuse treatment without prior warning, noting that one of the doctors asked her to leave the hospital, despite her critical health condition.
She added that she had been in a state of severe bleeding for several days and her condition was deteriorating day after day, and that she needed urgent intervention to save her life, demanding an immediate investigation into the incident and holding those responsible accountable after the treatment she was subjected to inside Al-Hussein Hospital.
The woman and her family hope that her cry for help will resonate with the concerned authorities, to save her condition and prevent the recurrence of such incidents that affect the patient’s humanity and his right to treatment within government medical institutions.
