Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, Deputy Prime Minister for Human Development, Minister of Health and Population, expressed his great happiness with the victory of Dr. Khaled Al -Anani in the position of Director General of UNESCO, stressing that this victory represents an exceptional national achievement that establishes Egypt’s active presence on the international scene, and embodies the high position that Egyptian competencies enjoy in international forums, and reflects the appreciation of the international community for science, experience and the ability to lead the leadership of Egypt, Wishing Dr. Al -Anani all the best in his next duties, stressing his confidence that he will be the best representative of Egypt and the Arab and African world in the leadership of an organization the size of UNESCO.
This came at the beginning of Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, the periodic meeting of the Ministerial Group for Human Development, to discuss a number of work files for the coming period, in a way that ensures the strengthening of the group’s effectiveness in achieving its strategic goals, and supporting the targets of human development, at the headquarters of the Ministry of Health in the new administrative capital.

The meeting witnessed the presence of Dr. Rania Al -Mashat, Minister of Planning, Economic Development and International Cooperation, Dr. Manal Awad, Minister of Local Development, Dr. Maya Morsi, Minister of Social Solidarity, Counselor Mahmoud Fawzi, Minister of Parliamentary and Legal Affairs and Political Communication, Dr. Osama Al -Azhari, Minister of Awqaf, Muhammad Jubran, Minister of Labor, Dr. Ahmed Fouad Hano, Minister of Culture, Dr. Majid Othman, decision of the Higher Consulting Committee For human development and former Minister of Communications and Information Technology, Dr. Mustafa Refaat, Secretary of the Supreme Council of Universities as Deputy Minister of Higher Education, alongside the Technical Secretariat of the Committee, which includes a number of deputies, assistants, agents and ministers consultants, and a number of representatives of the ministries and relevant authorities.
Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar stressed the importance of working in the spirit of one team within an integrated framework for human development, stressing that achieving the goals of the state in this field requires effective coordination and continuous cooperation between all ministries and the concerned authorities, especially as human development is a comprehensive and interconnected issue, which requires concerted efforts and the integration of roles from various sectors of the state, to ensure the achievement of concrete and sustainable results that contribute to improving the quality of the life of the Egyptian citizen.
Dr. Hossam Abdel Ghaffar, the official spokesman of the Ministry of Health and Population, explained that the meeting dealt with a presentation and review of a summary of what was done in the previous meeting, where the most prominent topics that were raised and assignments issued at the previous meeting were reviewed, including reference to the World Bank report on human capital in Egypt, and emphasizing the importance of a contact point from each ministry with the decision of the Consulting Committee, in addition to discussing the developments of preparation for the seminar on the discussion scheduled to be held in the session The opening of the third version of the Population Conference in cooperation with the Human Development Group, and the importance of each ministry sent performance indicators and programs for the elapsed fiscal year, and the extent of achieving the human development targets associated with its work.
Abdel Ghaffar explained that the meeting dealt with following up the coordination efforts between the ministries of education, work and planning on the technical school file, with the aim of enhancing the link between technical education and the requirements of the labor market, in addition to discussing the Huawei company’s proposal to introduce artificial intelligence technologies in schools, and what was achieved from previous assignments was discussed and reviewing the implementation rates, to ensure the continuation of coordination between the concerned authorities and achieve the objectives prescribed effectively.
Abdel Ghaffar added that the meeting dealt with the presentation and follow -up of the ongoing preparations for the third version of the World Population, Health and Human Development Conference to be held from 10 to 13 November 2025, where the main axes of the conference and events to be implemented were discussed, with a focus on integrating artificial intelligence techniques in various axes of human development, in a way that contributes to enhancing performance efficiency and achieving development goals, as was emphasized on the importance of the importance The activities intertwined between the different sectors, especially since this year the conference is based on empowerment, opportunities and the future, which aims to anticipate new prospects for comprehensive development through innovation and technology.
Abdel Ghaffar noted the importance of setting accurate mechanisms to follow up on the indicators of human development, explaining that this is done by relying on national statistical systems, foremost of which is the data of the Central Agency for Public Mobilization and Statistics, and follow -up platforms of the Ministry of Planning, such as the electronic system, a source, and the follow -up platform in the various governorates, and pointed out that the second part of the follow -up depends on international indicators and reports, in parallel with the National Development Index, to ensure that guarantees Integration of vision and implementation effectiveness.
Abdel Ghaffar stressed the necessity of continuous coordination between all concerned parties, reviewing the various dimensions of the goals of human development in the light of Egypt’s Vision 2030, and the legislative framework supporting the methodology of programs and performance, in addition to reviewing the government program and the efforts made in this regard, as well as the executive position and evaluation of performance in implementing programs and performance, especially with regard to the member ministries in the Ministerial Group for Human Development for the fiscal year 2025/2026.
Mohamed Gibran, Minister of Labor, pointed out the importance of including the occupational safety and health file within the axes of human development, as it is one of the main pillars to ensure a safe work environment and improve productivity, as it touched on the employment file and its associated organization of vacations and ensuring labor rights, stressing the need to unify the work policies in a way that achieves integration between the various concerned authorities, stressing the importance of forming a technical working group that includes representatives of ministries and entities The link, to set an integrated vision to unify the standards and legislation related to the work environment and professional safety, in a way that contributes to enhancing the efficiency of the labor market and achieving sustainability in human development.
Dr. Majid Othman, decision of the Consulting Committee for Human Development, reviewed the indicators of human development and the current position of Egypt, where the developments of cooperation were presented between the Consultative Committee for Human Development and the Information and Decision Support Center, where coordination is taking place to issue policy papers, including 7 topics on the committee’s proposals to present the ministerial group, in addition to issuing a white paper on the institutionalization of human development in the Egyptian government, and the cooperation between the Consultative Committee for Human Development and the Nations Program was also indicated United Development, in addition to presenting the World Bank’s report on human capital in Egypt, including four topics, which are early childhood, education, and employment, along with the elderly.
