His Highness Sheikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, First Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, Chairman of the General Authority for Sports, Chairman of the Bahrain Olympic Committee, His Excellency Sheikh Khalid bin Hamoud Al Khalifa, Governor of the Capital Governorate, received in the presence of His Excellency Dr. Abdul Rahman Askar, CEO of the General Authority for Sports and Engineer Mohamed Saad Al -Sahli, Director General of the Capital Secretariat.
During the meeting, the aspects of joint cooperation were discussed, and ways to unify efforts to serve the community and raise the level of services and development and sports projects in the capital.
His Highness Sheikh Khalid bin Hamad praised the vital role played by the Capital Governorate and Secretariat in developing public facilities and infrastructure, stressing that cooperation between the sports sector and the Capital Governorate is a key factor in supporting the major sporting events hosted by the Kingdom, and enhancing Bahrain’s position as an ideal destination for the establishment of many sports events, especially since sport has become part of urban and societal development.
For his part, Sheikh Khalid bin Hamoud Al Khalifa expressed his thanks and appreciation to His Highness Sheikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa for his continuous support for national efforts in the fields of youth and sports, noting that cooperation between the Capital Governorate and sports institutions contributes to enhancing societal awareness and encouraging the healthy lifestyle and activity, stressed the keenness of the Capital Governorate to contribute to supporting all sports activities.
