The Secretary -General of the House of Representatives, Muhammad Al -Sisi Al -Buainain, affirmed that the General Secretariat is keen to exercise its national and social role in all fields through permanent and continuous communication with official state institutions and civil society institutions and partnership with them on all national occasions and events, especially those related to public health and spread awareness and education.
He pointed out that the General Secretariat began to organize comprehensive awareness and health activities on the occasion of October, the month of breast cancer, in order to contribute to spreading health awareness and enhancing the culture of prevention among all members of society and its categories.
He pointed out that, under the guidance of the Speaker of Parliament Ahmed Al -Muslim, the General Secretariat will organize educational lectures and free examinations for early detection, in cooperation with a group of medical cadres and the competent health authorities, and these initiatives aim to raise the level of awareness of the importance of early detection as a basic step for prevention and treatment, and to establish the concept of interest in health as individual, community and participatory responsibility among all institutions Related.
Al -Buainain added that a number of events and programs are scheduled to be held in cooperation with a number of associations and competent authorities, and will be directed to female employees working in the General Secretariat of the Council in particular and for society in general, based on the role of the Council in community communication, in order to achieve a healthy life and psychological safety for Bahraini women, enhance the safety of society, and to improve the quality of the life of its members.
He revealed that the campaign in which the House of Representatives participate aims to raise awareness and spread information about the disease, methods of preventing it, and encouraging changing health behaviors, proper nutrition, and exercising, as well as encouraging early detection and raising awareness of the importance of periodic examination.
