During the past 24 hours, Port Said Governorate witnessed a dazzling national and festive atmosphere, as Major General Moheb Habashi, the Governor of Port Said, participated in the celebrations of the 52nd anniversary of the glorious October victories in Egypt Square overlooking the Suez Canal, amid a large official and popular presence, and the governor affirmed that the October victory will remain a bright sign in the history of the country and an eternal epic that embodies the will of the Egyptians and their determination.

The governor also placed a wreath of flowers on the memorial in the field of martyrs with the participation of security and military leaders, in commemoration of the souls of the martyrs, and also witnessed the celebration of the Faculty of Specific Education at Port Said University, where the exhibition of “The Family of Egypt Students” for plastic arts opened, and praised the works that expressed the spirit of belonging and national pride.
Within the framework of the governorate’s plan to raise the efficiency of hygiene and services, the development and removal of waste continued within the old graves in the Al -Zuhur neighborhood, in implementation of the directives of the governor, with the allocation of security personnel and fixed workers to maintain the sanctity and preservation of cowards.
The Arab neighborhood witnessed the continuation of the daily campaigns to remove the occupations and encroachments in the streets of Al -Hamidi, commercial and eastern, as part of a comprehensive development plan for those streets, and the governor quickly directed the implementation of the development work in a way that preserves the heritage and civilizational nature of the region.
In the Al -Zuhur neighborhood, the executive bodies continued their enlarged campaigns to confiscate the wandering livestock after the deadline ended, in implementation of the governor’s instructions, in order to preserve the civilizational appearance of the neighborhood and the health of citizens, confirming the application of the law firmly to violators.
In a parallel context, Major General Mohamed Al -Jamsi, Director of Port Said Security, led an expanded security campaign to raise the occupations of Al -Hamidi Commercial Street, accumulated for years, and the forces succeeded in opening the road for the movement of citizens and cars amid great praise from the people who expressed their appreciation for the efforts of the security men in restoring discipline to the Port Said Street.
Continuing development efforts and improving services
The governorate concluded its day by asserting Major General Moheb Habashi to continue the efforts of development and improve services, and to complete the discipline and development campaigns in various neighborhoods, in order to preserve the cultural appearance of the city of Port Said.
