Samaher Saif Al Yazal
Member of the Municipal Council of the Northern Region called on the representative of the ninth district Abdullah Al -Qubaisi to grant exceptions to issue special construction and maintenance licenses for the homes affected by fires, in consideration of the humanitarian and social conditions of the affected families, and to accelerate the rehabilitation of their affected housing.
Al -Qubaisi explained that the proposal aims to enable the owners of the burning houses to rebuild or restore quickly, especially in cases that cannot be delayed, indicating that some of these houses have passed over their violations for more than ten years, which makes them fall by limitations according to Article (18) of the Criminal Procedure Law. He indicated that the proposal targets specific humanitarian cases, among them:
Widows and orphans whose homes were completely damaged.
Joint houses that are difficult to separate engineering.
– The presence of a death due to the fire.
– The houses that can be repaired during maintenance and restoration, provided that the violation is removed, if any.
Al -Qubaisi stressed that the aim of the proposal is to help the affected families and maintain their social and living stability, indicating that the delay in issuing licenses or rejecting them in such circumstances increases the suffering of the people who lost their homes and property.
