The Ministerial Committee for Development Projects and Infrastructure, headed by His Excellency Sheikh Khalid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, Deputy Prime Minister, continues to follow up on the implementation of road projects in line with the goals of the comprehensive development process led by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the King of the Great Country, may God protect and preserve him, and the directives of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Prime Minister, may God protect him, and in a manner that enhances the efficiency of the network And the quality of services provided to citizens in all regions of the Kingdom.

A press report issued by the Deputy Prime Minister’s office stated that the government program for the years (2023-2026) represents the basic reference on which the Ministerial Committee is based in its follow-up to the progress of the completion of all development projects, as the program included in the infrastructure and environment axis, which confirms the importance of accelerating the pace of providing infrastructure services and sustaining its financing, and developing an integrated plan to develop roads and raise its absorptive capacity.

In this regard, the Ministerial Committee established a practical approach based on seven axes through which 42 priorities are implemented, and these priorities come to follow up on road projects, by enhancing coordination and complementarity between ministries and relevant government agencies in a way that reflects positively on the accuracy of decisions, the speed of processors and the quality of the outputs in work sites, and ensures a smooth transition from the design stages to implementation and then operation and maintenance. In addition to the above, the ministerial committee also specializes in reviewing plans and policies, continuous monitoring of performance indicators, and ensuring that the projects are implemented on their specified times.

These pillars were reflected in concrete results achieved by the bandits at the Ministry of Works, as the Ministry was able with the support of the wise leadership, and with the follow -up of the Ministerial Committee for Development Projects and Infrastructure, to complete 102 projects from

Total 125 projects. It is currently working on 23 projects for the ministry to complete the map of its projects until the year 2026, which has led to a high achievement rate of 82% until this day, which reflects the efficiency of exchange on road projects, and the good guidance of resources within the financial framework approved in close coordination with the Ministry of Finance and National Economy in ensuring the sustainability of financing and providing credits on its dates, and align cash flows with the implementation paths.

Given the high levels of achievement in terms of implementing road projects, the effects on the ground appear in multiple aspects, most notably improving the flow of traffic in various regions of the Kingdom, reducing the time of daily flights, and the consequent reduction in the cost of mobility on individuals and production sectors, and raising the attractiveness of residential, investment and tourism areas. These projects also contribute to enhancing traffic safety levels by applying safe design standards and providing alternative paths.

The great field efforts made by the work teams in the Ministry of Works and the relevant authorities embody the spirit of the Bahrain team, based on efficiency, accuracy and sincerity in the work.
