Sheikh Khalid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, Deputy Prime Minister, emphasized that the qualitative development witnessed by road projects in the Kingdom of Bahrain is the fruit of the visions of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the King of the country, and an embodiment of the directives of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, and aimed at providing the infrastructure with a safe traffic system and capable of absorbing the requirements of the current and future growth.
He pointed to the main pillars of road projects in support of the productive and service sectors, which reflects positively on the enhancement of the flow of the movement, the reduction of the movement of mobility, the attracting of investments, and the raising the level of services provided to citizens and residents alike.
This came at a meeting at the Al -Qudaibiya Palace this morning, Eng. Ibrahim bin Hassan Al -Hawaj, the Minister of Works, who presented to the team of the Al -Jasra intersection project from the ministry’s engineers, where he congratulated them on this achievement, which is added to a series of qualitative road projects in the Kingdom of Bahrain, expressing his thanks and appreciation for their efforts that contributed to achieving a tangible impact in terms of increasing the capacity, improving the flow of movement, and raising the efficiency of the road network in the surrounding areas.
He explained that what is achieved today from the achievements of road projects and other development projects is the product of the arms of adoption and hands of development, in order to work in the spirit of the one team, “Bahrain Team”, which translates plans into realistic achievements, thanks to the discipline and accuracy of its members, efficiency in performance, and high national responsibility.
He added that this pattern of integrated work between the various parties reflects an institutional approach based on proactive planning and close cooperation, in a manner that ensures the completion of projects according to the specified time frameworks and quality and safety standards, and contributes to providing sustainable infrastructure that supports the comprehensive development march goals witnessed by the Kingdom of Bahrain.
During the meeting, he was briefed on the latest developments in the most important road projects, which are the expansion of the Crown Prince Street, the expansion of King Faisal Street, the fourth bridge legislator, the work of the third stage of the southern circular street, and the Alawite jaw bridge leading to 105 Street linked to Muharraq Ring Street.
In this regard, the Ministry of Works directed to pay special attention to these projects because of the strategic importance they represent in developing the road network and improving their efficiency, stressing the need to continue working at a consistent pace that keeps pace with the requirements of urban and economic growth, and in a manner that ensures the sustainability of infrastructure.
For his part, Eng. Ibrahim bin Hassan Al -Hawaj, Minister of Works, expressed his deep thanks and appreciation to the Deputy Prime Minister for this generous gesture, which expresses His Excellency the efforts made by the national cadres in implementing the projects of the road network in the Kingdom.
Al -Hawaj also valued what the Deputy Prime Minister, through his presidency of the Ministerial Committee for Development Projects and Infrastructure, also valued the accurate support for the various projects implemented by the Ministry in the roads, sanitation and maintenance of buildings, stressing that this support constitutes an incentive to continue working in the spirit of one team to achieve the visions and directives of the wise leadership, and the aspirations of citizens towards an integrated and sustainable infrastructure.
