The Prime Minister’s Crown Prince initiative allows the employment of approximately 14,000 job seekers
The Chairman of the Finance and Economic Committee, Ahmed Al -Salloum, revealed that the “job bank” in the Ministry of Labor will witness the pumping of more than 10,000 new jobs during the next stage, explaining that these opportunities will be collected on a unified platform to facilitate the access of job seekers to it.
He added that the government will also contribute to providing job opportunities within the companies in which they have direct stakes, especially the major national companies such as “Babco”, Aluminum Bahrain Company “Alba”, Bahrain Telecommunications Company “Batelco”, and the Gulf Petrochemical Industry Company “Jeepk”, which will enhance the effectiveness of the initiative and support the achievement of its targets on the ground.
Al -Salloum pointed out during a broad meeting yesterday, with a number of job seekers from the fifth district of the Capital Governorate, that the meeting comes within the framework of direct interaction with the high directives of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Prime Minister, and the judge by presenting 3 job opportunities suitable for every job researcher registered with the Ministry of Labor before the end of this year.
He explained that this guidance reflects the national keenness to make the citizen the focus of development and its supreme goal, stressing that the recruitment file comes at the top of the wise leadership and the government, and that working in the spirit of the “Bahrain team” requires a complete partnership between the legislative and executive authorities and society.
Al -Salloum pointed out that these opportunities will cover multiple sectors, and in various work sites, indicating that the competent authorities will work to ensure the job stability of the unemployed by motivating companies that work to sign contracts after the end of the calls.
He indicated that the initiative will not be limited to only the next 3 months, but it is expected to be followed by other copies of the initiative that extends for more than 6 months, and this initiative will allow the employment of approximately 14 thousand job seekers.
He explained that the different qualifications and experiences between the unemployed will be treated by directing job options according to the available professional levels and market needs, noting that providing appropriate job opportunities for the people of the country comes at the forefront of national development priorities, and is an essential axis in promoting social and economic stability.
Al -Salloum indicated that the Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry is currently working on addressing the companies under their umbrella, to urge them to provide new vacancies, the Chamber is working to deliver it on a weekly basis to the Ministry of Labor, in preparation for presenting them to the unemployed, indicating that there are more than 575 thousand jobs currently occupied by foreigners, of which 70 thousand jobs exceed 1500 dinars, while the number of unemployed is about 15 thousand citizens.
Al -Salloum indicated that there are more than 17 thousand people registered on the breakdown lists, expressing his ambition to reduce this number to 3 thousand within 3 months.
In the context of his support for the initiative, Al -Salloum pointed out that he had previously submitted a parliamentary proposal concerned with providing qualitative jobs for Bahraini citizens, foremost of which is the proposal to limit the qualitative jobs that are of good financial returns to Bahrainis, and filled them with qualified national cadres in them, calling for gradually localizing these jobs, in order to achieve the desired goal of employing the unemployed and ensuring their stability in Their work.
He touched on the importance of strengthening entrepreneurship among young people as a pivotal tributary to support the national economy and create qualitative and sustainable job opportunities, pointing out that commercial, service and administrative sectors have today become an attractive environment for individual initiatives and emerging projects, praising the esteemed government to provide financing, qualification and procedures that help young people to launch their own projects, and enable them to contribute effectively to pushing the wheel Development, in line with government trends aimed at diversifying sources of income and enabling national competencies.
Al -Salloum, indicated that direct meetings with the unemployed managed to monitor their needs more accurately, and contribute to opening effective cooperation channels with the responsible authorities, adding that the next stage requires a relentless follow -up of the existing programs, and to ensure that actual job opportunities reach their entitlements exactly as planned.
In response to the questions of some of the attendees about the end of employee services after the end of the government support period, he said: “This file is currently being reviewed, and that the dismissal of workers due to the end of the call is a serious follow -up with the aim of dealing with it and stopping any fair practices.” One of them.
He also touched on the proposal to provide a “transportation allowance” for the unemployed, which enables them to reach the work sites and enter the labor market without material obstacles that prevent them from accepting the opportunities presented, reassuring that this proposal is realistic, and it is initially acceptable, and it will be pushed within the official follow -up channels.
With regard to the health sector, Al -Salloum indicated that the “fellowship” training programs currently include about 20 doctors annually in the private sector, and that the number is a candidate for doubled during the coming period, as well as a study of the provision of a public doctor in each private school out of 75 schools, which may later be generalized to public schools, in a way that opens additional horizons for employing national medical cadres, recalling that the appointments addressed to doctors are the highest compared to the rest of the majors.
He stated that what was presented during the meeting will be submitted to the competent authorities for follow -up and implementation, as the meeting comes a practical translation of the high guidance, and that it will continue its parliamentary and societal role in working to ensure that the people of the homeland benefit from the initiative, and to follow up their implementation within the specified time frameworks, praising the great interest attached to His Highness the Crown Prince and Prime Minister of the employment file, and the government’s keenness to support human development paths and enhance the participation of national competencies in different Sectors.
