A source from the National Institute of Sea Sciences in Alexandria revealed that the phenomenon of sea water receding in several areas that Alexandria is witnessing during the current days, is expected to return to nature within two days, indicating that the indicators monitored by the institute’s devices for the phenomenon are proceeding in its normal rate until now, and that the matter has not been out of the usual scope as a repeated periodic phenomenon.
When does the phenomenon of sea water decline in some coastal areas in Alexandria end?
Dr. Amr Zakaria Hammouda, head of the Center for Marine Risk Limiting at the National Institute of Sea and Fisheries, has confirmed that this phenomenon is a natural phenomenon that occurs due to the factors of the tide and the daily islands and are caused by the effect of the moon’s attractiveness and the sun, and it occurs twice daily periodically and naturally, the tide and carrots associated with the lunar month: it occurs at the completion of the moon (the full moon) or the right, and leads to fluctuations in the level Sea and high air pressure: leading to a temporary decrease in the sea level.
He added in a press statement, that when these factors coincide, a noticeable decline in the water level may occur, stressing at the same time this decline temporarily and the attributed to its normal levels returns on time.
