At a time when the blood became a familiar scene, and the shells voted a daily background for news bulletins, we find ourselves in front of a more urgent question than ever.
The screens that we put in their hands have become overwhelmed by the scenes of death and destruction as if they were an ordinary entertainment, scenes that are not interpreted for them, and they are not faced with a fence of values, but they are left carved in their conscience distorted concepts of heroism, strength, and justice.
Do we teach our children that humanity is not a lesson in a book, but a behavior that is practiced, or we drown them in sports schedules and rigid equations, and we forget that our true crisis is not in minds, but in pronouns.
What we are witnessing from horrific crimes, and strange behaviors from our societies, did not come from a vacuum, the education system has collapsed, the role model was absent, and the real teacher hid behind curricula devoid of the soul, we planted in them the love of success, but we forgot to teach them how success is noble.
In a homeland that was once singing that a “homeland of values” turned us without knowing a society that raises cruelty, not because it is corrupt, but rather because we abandoned our first responsibility to education on humanity.
Whoever explains to them that the occupation is not truly, and that killing is not a heroism, our children see in the news bulletins what humans should not see, and no matter how small their age, their memory is dyed with massacres committed in cold blood, as the Israeli war machine does every day in Palestine, no one tells them that what is happening is not normal, and that the criminal cannot become a hero, and that the land does not steal Sharia, and history is not written.
The drama also betrayed her message, turned from a mirror of society to a mirror of hatred and violence, and became a shopping for the thug as a hero, and barking as a symbol of power, this same industry, which is supposed to raise taste, has become raised by violence.
Where is the subject of conscience, why do we not real in our schools in real, not my form, how a person is a human being, why do not we plant a place in mercy, for good, to volunteer, to understand the other, why do we drown them with information, and leave their hearts empty of meaning.
Time is not late, but an educational revolution is a revolution that does not start from changing the curricula, but rather from rearranging our priorities as adults, to acknowledge that education is not a luxury, but rather is the first line of defense for the future of the nation, we need to study our children that the view revives, and the word hurts, and that building a person is more important than building the constellations, we need to say to them: Be a person first, and then do whatever you want.
And before we blame this generation, let us face the truth, who raised them from the one who missed them who left them feeding the images of killing, and did not give them the vaccine of mercy, we graduate generations that know everything, except how they are compassionate, intellectuals, yes, but unconsciously, successful, yes, but without a heart, if we want to stop the vortex of violence, then we must start from child An option, but an identity, we can dream of a better tomorrow.
