The Nasser Al -Alami and Technical Center announced the opening of registration for the engineering professional disciples program in partnership with the Labor Fund (Tamkeen), which targets Bahraini youth who seek work for those who are 18 years and over. The program aims to prepare and qualify national cadres by combining academic training and practical training in work sites in cooperation with the companies participating in the program.
The support of “Tamkeen” for the national cadres within this program comes in line with the strategic priorities of the Fund for the year 2025, which is to enhance the position and competitiveness of the Bahraini citizen in the private sector, and to provide Bahrainis with the appropriate skills for job development, as well as granting priority to the growth, number and sustainability of institutions.
The program lasts for a period of three years, so that the training includes 30% in the Nasser Al -Alami and Technical Center and 70% practical training in the work environment, to give the participants an integrated experience that qualifies them for direct integration into the labor market. The trainee, upon successful completion of the program, gets an international qualification accredited by Person – Britain at the fourth or fifth level, within one of the following engineering disciplines: electrical and electronic engineering, operations engineering, mechanical engineering, welding and manufacturing engineering.
The center emphasized that the admission process is going through several stages that begins with a level of determination of the level within the Nasser Al -Alami and Technical Center, followed by interviews with companies, as students who are admitted directly in the program begin, while those who have not been able to pass the admission phase are available in the Bridging Course program that open the field for them to join the program.
