Deputy Dr. Mounir Sorour and Minister of Social Development, Osama bin Saleh Al -Alawi, discussed the future ministry’s vision regarding the category of people with determination, especially autism, in addition to supporting civil society organizations in achieving their goals and expanding their activities.
Dr. Surbred by the Ministry’s plans aimed at raising the capacity in the rehabilitation centers of people with disabilities, indicating that the ministry is currently working to expand a high center in the high area, in addition to the expansion of another center in Isa City.
The deputy said: “The meeting touched on cases of accommodating students with special needs, especially autism, in rehabilitation centers, and facilitating procedures to help civil society organizations to invest some of their assets in a way that provides them with regular income,” adding that the Ministry of Development is open to providing the necessary facilities and granting licenses to institutions according to the established requirements.
Regarding the inactive associations, Dr. Sorour that the ministry is following this file closely, and works to find appropriate solutions to activate or delete it according to what is stipulated in the law and the requirements of the national interest.
The two sides also discussed the opportunities to develop permanent headquarters for charities, especially in the seventh district of the northern governorate, where the Ministry affirmed its readiness to support any efforts in this field in a way that enhances the performance of associations, and enables them to achieve their mission and humanitarian and social goals.
