The investigative authorities specialized in the Tahta Center Department in Sohag Governorate decided to renew the imprisonment of the accused “Issam A.M.” for a period of 15 days pending investigations, in case No. 3708 of 2025, after he was caught in a caught in possession of a quantity of opium anesthetic before promoting the center’s department.

The incident began when Major General Dr. Hassan Abdel Aziz, Assistant Minister of the Interior and Director of Sohag Security, received a notification stating that secret information had been received to the Directorate’s Investigations Unit, which confirmed that one of the criminal elements residing in the Department of Saqlata Center had brought a quantity of narcotic substances to distribute to drug dealers.
The director of Sohag Security directed the speedy arrest of the accused, and a research team was formed led by Brigadier Nour Omar, head of the Directorate’s Investigations, Colonel Mohamed Saif Abu Salem, head of the North Research Branch, and Lt. Col. Hazem Ali, the branch’s agent, in coordination with the officers of the Investigation Unit of the Tahta Center headed by Lt. Col. Ahmed Al -Omda and Major Mohamed Diab, the first assistant center.
After obtaining the permission of the Public Prosecution, the team succeeded in arresting the accused in the Tahta Center department, in possession of 10 rabies of opium, and 4 thousand pounds, in addition to a car that he used in his criminal activity.
In his confrontation, he confessed that he possessed the seizures with the intention of trafficking, and the financial amounts of the proceeds of the sale, while the seizures and the accused were seized, and a report of the incident was issued, and the prosecution ordered his imprisonment for 15 reserve days pending investigations.
